We all need to work collaboratively, fairly and cooperatively with others to promote a positive learning environment.

  • Work cooperatively with your teachers and peers to ensure your behaviour enables the teacher to teach and your peers to learn.
  • Support the school rules, procedures and policies and work cooperatively with school staff.
  • Provide an education that enables all students to experience success as a learner and keep parents informed of their child’s learning and behaviour.

The Right To Feel Safe

We all need to behave in a way that does not endanger anyone or causes anyone to feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

  • Read, understand and sign the Yidarra Safe and Friendly School Agreement each year.
  • Respect yourself and others by following class and school rules and policies.
  • Speak up about unsafe behaviour and bullying.
  • Read, understand and sign the Yidarra Safe and Friendly School Agreement each year with your child.
  • Support the school rules, procedures and policies and work cooperatively with school staff.
  • Report unsafe behaviour and safety concerns to the school.
  • Explain the Yidarra Safe and Friendly School Agreement with your class.
  • Be proactive in creating a safe learning environment (physically, emotionally and socially).
  • Inform students of the rules and expectations and consistently reinforce them.

The Right To Have Property Protected

We need to take care of personal property, the property of others and the property of the school.

  • Look after your personal property (including uniforms), the property of your peers and the property of the school.
  • Keep valuable items at home.
  • Support the school rules, procedures and policies and work cooperatively with school staff.
  • Ensure your child keeps valuable items at home.
  • Ensure your child wears the correct uniform.
  • Teach children the skills and behaviours to treat and care for property correctly.
  • Enforce the school uniform policy
